The sidewalks are part of the street boards. Most props like benches, signs, and such are just straight builds using 110lb card stock. Some items I have mounted on thin cardboard like the billboard sign I built. Mainly it is only the base or master boards, walls and roofs that are foam core or gator foam.

What thickness do you use for the Gatorfoam and do you also mount your street boards to it?

Thanks for the "How To". I've had a terrible run with World Works and this is giving me the courage to try again.

Question. Do you mount the props and walkways to anything? Or, do you just mount the walls?

Hi, I really enjoyed your tutorial. I am building my card terrain using Model builder software designed for model train layouts. Its easy to use and its cheap. You can even choose your own scale.
http://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/ There is a Yahoo group for it too.

Yeah, I didn't post it here. But at least I was able to help you out on the WWG forum to get the problem solved. -A

Turns out the problem was with the version of GIMP I was using. Fell back to an earlier version and problem disappeared.

Thanks for the inspiration. Now its off to play...

Believe it or not, that was exactly what the problem was, thanks. I didn't check the resolution of the WWG buildings. But I have a new problem. I can paste the artwork (in this case windows) into Gimp, but when printed I get blank pages. I suspect it is something to do with the layers but after 10 sheets of blank paper I'm not sure what to try next. You're 1 for 1; care to try for 2 for 2?

Hey ZombiEd. Glad you like the buildings. It does take some work to refit these for foam core. But I do feel it is worth it in the end. I have never used Gimp before. I am not sure if it is changing the resolution from 200 dpi to 72 dpi and then increasing the size.

Love the work, I've started doing this myself and it looks great.
I've been trying to do some of the editing but have not been successful. Unfortunately all I have is Gimp and for some reason the images are being resized which throws off any hope of capatibility.
