I have to agree with you about the buildings being to flimsy and though I have considered mounting it on foamcore, it is not something that I have tried. Very nicely done! Most props like benches, signs, and such are just straight builds using 110lb card stock. Some items I have mounted on thin cardboard like the billboard sign I built.
